How would you feel if a member left your favorite group (1 Viewer)

Let's just go with the classic SM scenario. Members leave and sue the company.
@SM stans, just say how you felt!

Here are some promts to make it easier to imagine, you don't have to go off of these.

To ARMY: Imagine Jimin and V left the group. Imagine they never publicly interact with any of the BTS members again. How would the group react?

To Carat: Imagine Woozi left the group. Would the group recover? Would you be surprised? Who would you blame?

To ONCE: What if Momo, Sana and Mina just up and left the group one day, flew back to Japan and sued JYP. Would you continue to stan them? Would you continue to stan Twice?


You can say it will never happen, but it is very rare for fans to predict a member leaving. EXO-Ls did not think anybody was going to leave before Kris sued SM and let us not even think about the SHINee situation in this case.

I have been re-watching EXO showtime and it has opened some old wounds

It is bit weird to think and answer these with the situation with Big Bang ^^; In general it's pretty hard for me to take when member leaves, I see groups as collaboration of all their members and that everyone plays important part. If I'm really into group I will be into all members.

There has been some member leaves I have gotten over like Keonu leaving LedApple, although I liked him too he wasn't within my fav members and i understood his reason and it wasn't that dramatic leave- he had some health issues and wanted to focus on composing rather than being idol and company accepted that too and let him leave.

In other hand I lost interest in LedApple when Hanbyul left along with Kyumin and Kwangyeon so like half or more. They got new members, but it wasn't LedApple as I knew them anymore.

When Minzy left 2NE1 it was pretty hard to take, especially when 2NE1 was already in such bad situation and it put them to even worse situation.

In most cases I understand the reason leaving the group, but I'm not into dramatic leaves and tea at all, I still side-eye whole SNSD- Jessica thing, to me that's like huge no-no. I was really against Minzy leaving first too, but later understood it more due to things that came out and have been coming out rather recently.

Back in 2017 when MBK screwed over T-ara once again and Soyeon and Boram left I felt horrid. Even when they had a comeback as 4 it seriously didn't feel right something was missing. It also didn't help that the remaining members put in their MV little pieces that were linked to Boram and Soyeon(like extra 2 chairs, bottles, pencils) it made me seriously sad.

I honestly do think one of the members of Twice would leave but I always thought I would be Chaeyoung ,Jeongyeon or Mina after their contract ends . I highly doubt they would leave right in the middle of it , unless they fall greatly ill.

I would be pretty sad if a member left my favorite groups, but also supportive of their decision. I wouldn't want them to be unhappy or stressed if they were, and if they wanted to retire or start a solo career that's their choice.

As long as they leave amicably. If they sue the company, it's an issue with the company and not with the members themselves.

If any of Black Pink left I'd be low key glad because they'd be away from the shit storm that is YG plus they all have enough of an individual fandom to do SOMETHING once they leave...

NCT: I suppose that I would be sad for a bit but with a concept like theirs, you sort of have to expect that it's gonna happen at some point. Plus I feel like very few of them get to shine individually in NCT although SM has a habit of blacklisting people so I kinda feel like it'd be a lose/lose situation unless they are a foreigner, in which case they could have a chance at success in their home country after being exiled from Korea LOL

BTS is more than just 7 members, they're one person, one group, led by an amazing member. Jimin gives life to BTS as much as V does with their visuals, talent, vocals, and personality. I can't imagine BTS without Jimin or V. If BTS continues to remain a group, I'd wish them both the happiness they deserve and still ULT my first group till the end.

If the J-Line left Twice, Sana's personality, Momo's dance, and Mina's visuals would be missed greatly. Twice would be broken- maybe even more than BTS, because though the boys have been through so much, bringing Big Hit into now a "Big 4" era, Twice (probably) had it harder. They went through a brutal survival show and only became closer. When Momo was eliminated and then brought back at the end, Sana was the one who cried so hard. (of course this doesn't matter if both left lol) but it shows the chemistry and the bond the girls have. I believe they'd never leave in the first place, or even sue JYP with all my heart, but if they do, I can't ult Twice anymore, because they are a big part of what the girls are. 1/3 of the group just up and left. I'd still stan them of course, but they wouldn't have such a huge impact on my life like they do today.

In either situation, I would never abandon my top two groups, I'd follow them forever, but they wouldn't have the same effects on me as they do today. Without Taehyung or Sana, I wouldn't even know myself anymore. Both of them have had immense effects onto my personality, my mental health, and the way I look at life- with a positive outlook.

That being said, it really depends on how they leave the group. If it's issues with the group as a whole, like Soshi , there's a good chance I might unstan (though I'd probably come back at some point. I'm weak)
If it's an issue with the company, like T-ara, I'd most likely keep supporting everyone

As for Twice... I dunno. It'd be hard to take that many people leaving, but I'd probably still support TWICE. I don't really like Jpop so it'd be hard to keep track of the Jline.

WayV - Chinese unit, acting like any chinese group!

See, the members of those 2 groups will not steal the others thunder, because their areas are different! That will be the case with all other units aswell! Sure WayV can promote in Korea, but it won't be doing anything 127 can do, they won't be taking anything away from 127 members.

The other local units will be the same

As an EXO-M stan, when Kris left I was gutted. It was weird for a while, but then as things were coming out it was clear he didn’t want to stay in SM. I know Junmyeon said what he said when EXO-K were winning with Overdose, but I think Kris didn’t tell them he wanted out because Junmyeon would’ve done everything he could to try and talk him out of it.
I also remember EXO-M’s press conference before Lost Planet, and it was so obvious SM had written what each member said.

With Luhan and Tao it wasn’t as much a shock, we knew those were coming. I still support all three as soloists, though I don’t keep up as much as what others do.

Yeah but we all know SM can be a little bitch and we don't know their contract terms, like how are they dividing the money between the members when they're doing joint albums and how much are the WayV members actually being paid when they're TECHNICALLY under two companies? I know SM founded Label V to help launch WayV in China without their Korean connections but I also wouldn't put it past them to use it as an excuse to take extra money out of the members' pockets.

I doubt it, because SM also has Suju and Lay under seperate companies. I doubt there is anything shady with that. I am also pretty sure the money is distributed by what you do! You participate on the song? You get money for the song! You participate in the concert? You get money for the concert!

I'd be pretty sad, honestly. However, if they decide to leave then it's their own choice. If they feel happier leaving the idol life then that's good for them. Fans may be sad about it, but we need to think about the well-being of the idols too.

Chinaline all get along these days though? On one of Luhan series it was mentioned that Kris and Tao came by to convince Luhan to get on a plane. Kris and Tao also refollow eachother on insta.

Lay seems to get along with Luhan at least and I doubt he is fighting with the others either.
