i don't like the song at all but the video is nice. the references to marilyn monroe here are a better tribute to her than that whole 3 hour movie made about her so good for them.

Ehh.. disappointed. Visuals are nice, concept had so much potential that was wasted in favour of becoming another "girl boss -I don't need a man- haha look I am so hot" anthem. The intro with Soyeon was amazing, but it was thrown away for a mediocre rap and flimsy beat drop. Eh, glad that I wasn't all too hyped for it

whenever a masterpiece arises, so do I on this forum...

here's what I don't understand. Every once in awhile a splendid song like this is released. multi layered, artist self-written composition that consists of more than 2 samples repeatedly looped throughout the song, witty lyrics, exquisite rap section, extravagant cinematography. but blengpik is the revolution?

Usually I love Soyeon's voice and flow, but that intro? No. Her verse? Blah. The rest of the song was just okay, the video visuals were on point.

It's okay. I haven't really liked any of the samples used in K-pop this year. The album b-sides are good though :o
It would be nice if LOVE was the TT, hope they will perform it though

Not into the song either but I think the message isn’t just about being a girl boss. Women have always been sexualized no matter how much theyve accomplished like soyeon’s bookworm line. People will only see them as sex objects and something to look at. Which is where the heavy Marilyn Monroe references come in handy. Even bare naked how people come into this world, the focus is always on looks (like people viewing a painting when the girls are being “observed” by others). It’s never about a woman’s accomplishments whenever they’re being discussed.

The smallest details like a curl or a button undone and people will say “oh she’s a slut.”
That’s the video and songs message from what I’m getting at.

Valid point, but I personally am tired of nearly all empowering woman concepts being about sexuality or exhibiting your body in a suggestive manner. Sure, that is also important and empowering to take back your sexuality and your body as yours to be proud of without being slutshamed or viewed as an object of desire, however it is getting repetitive. I am tired of seeing so many empowering concepts being purely about sex appeal and being proud of your body, whatnot and whatnot. I wished that they would have explored more deeply something else than Marilyn Monroe struggled with; being seen as nothing but a sexy dumb-blonde, despite all her efforts to be recognized for her talent and intellect. Maybe shown the members attempting to make it in the industry, but being shut down or only being praised for their looks ? That would also ring a bell with the k-pop industry and it's focus on visuals.. they did some of that, but it was very much surface level and focused heavily on aesthetics rather than message,, point is, there was a lot they could've done, but they played it safe and repeated what we have seen before, multiple times

I'll be honest when I first listened to the teaser I was like, "Huh." But listening to the whole track paired with the MV I think it's a total bop.
The only thing that slightly bothers me about it, is that they weren't sticking with the 1920's concept throughout the entirety of the video. It's like a clash of modern and burlesque. For example, some shots were taken with them dressed in modern styled apparel and I would've love to seen them flaunting in some more flapper styled looks. Otherwise, the girls looked phenomenal and the MV was well executed.

Oh yeah. I care more about the music it self. But it definitely would've made more sense if they made whole MV with the 1920s concept. Cuz I also feel like that's mostly what they teased until MV teaser 2.
