I like lots of history but I guess I focus on Chinese history given I'm chinese

We recently discovered that there were massive civilizations present in the Amazon in massive cities, but due to the introduction of diseases by Europeans and the close population densities of cities it wiped out entire civilizations in the Amazon only to be left overgrown by the jungle before the next Europeans sailed along the Amazon river.

What is even wilder are there are civilizations that were incredibly influential that we do not know about because we do not speak the language of the people that discovered it. The Soviets uncovered a massive influential civilization in present-day Central Asia, but about 99% of the literature and research conducted was written entirely in Russian.

I like history in digestible chunks or in narrative form, iv gone on a wiki crawl abt Napoleon awhile ago then American history after that(5-10mins only). But i dont read/look for books/texts that are dry or just dates/facts. Nor the videos that educate abt history.i would get bored n so nvr start.

But im midway reading a contemporary history, sorta-New York in the 30s till whenever the book ends, its about who designed/built parks/parkways in 20th C NY. Fascinating.
