IVE's pre-release song KITSCH was released a week ago and showcasing just how unpopular the group is by now (after getting ended several times), it only entered the Melon chart on #18.

The fact that it took them only 4 hours to reach #1, stay on #1 the entire week (despite a mega popular artist like Jisoo debuting during that same week) and that they have achieved a perfect All-Kill as of today, all seem insignificant compard to those crucial first hours, where IVE was ended once again.

I think your worried for nothing. I didn't like Kitch at all in the beginning. I even made a post about my disappointment, but have since fallen in love with it. This is actually typical k-pop behavior.

I don’t know the situation and details but one thing I can guarantee is the people who say those things probably feel justified to themselves. How? No idea. But I think they’re managing

IVE just get decleared ended every moment of their existence, where they do not have a song on #1 of any chart (longer periods between comebacks count too!). I never noticed this in such an extreme way before, as all their songs where big hits and all stayed on #1 for a long time (apart from their debut song).

But apart form that I think you are right and I'm sure when IVE title track will be released next week, the same people will decleare them ended once again, for whatever reason..

And yes I should frequent twitter and reddit less often

Confession time: I haven't listened to either Jisoo or IVE's new songs.

Non-confession time: If Kitsch is a pre-release then the fact that it's gaining any traction, much less a top 20 debut, is really good. Pre-releases are basically used for hyping up existing fans, not to garner general public listening.

Kpop fans are always the first to say when groups they don't care about might be declining but the moment it's said about the group they like they start pulling out everything under the sun to prove otherwise

ohhh, is it a conscious choice to not listen to them or do you just do not care about the artists?

Fun fact regarding pre-releases: The last 2 PAKs where achieved by pre-release songs: NewJeans with Ditto and now IVE Kitsch. One of the reasons, why I do believe that pre-release classification holds amost no meaning for those new 4th gen super groups.
