Well, something about it tastes better. Someday I want to try Vietnamese purple rice. It looks amazing!

Bandera Dominicana: White rice with red beans with meat (usually beef or chicken)

Mushroom Risotto

Arroz con Leche: A Spanish variation of rice pudding.

Growing up poor we only ever had California Long Grain white rice but when I got older I realized that different rice has different flavors. I have since realized Long Grain white rice is complete and utter TRASH as far as flavor and texture.

My current go to is Basmati. I get 20lb bags from Costco. During the pandemic when I had a hard time getting it I nearly lost my mind in fear I'd run out of good rice and have to "suffer" with Long Grain again. Terrible first world problem I had... The best tasting rice I've ever gotten a hold of was "O organics" Basmati rice from Albertsons. It's been discontinued but was worth every overpriced dime it cost. If I remember it was like 10 or 12 dollars for a 3lb bag.

I dont like rice at all...
