Hello everyone! Today we're trying out something new. A lot of our staff teams are looking for members, and we have decided to open a hiring for all at once, instead of go one by one. The teams looking for people are the moderation team, graphics team, events team, and card team. Details about applying will be below.


Team descriptions:

Spoiler: Moderation team

As a moderator, you would monitor the forum for rule breaking behaviors, as well as help out with aspects of the forum like adding users to fandom tags, for example.

You must:

• Be 18+​
• Have an account at least 6 months old​
• Be active​
• Be willing to use an outside platform for communication​

Frequently asked questions

Do I really need to be 18?
Due to the nature of the perms that are given to moderators yes, you need to be 18 years old at least.

Do I need to have moderating experience?
Moderating experience is a plus, but is not a requirement by any means.

Do I need to be constantly active?
We understand that life gets in the way sometimes, and everyone can take breaks. However, long periods of unannounced inactivity (ie. months of not being active on our staff platform or KS) can result in your removal from the team.

Spoiler: Graphics team

As a graphics member, you will be primarily in charge of making banners, along with user banners and any other graphics activities the forum may need.

You must:

• Have experience with an editing software (preferably Photoshop/Photopea/Illustrator)​
• You should be able to handle / give feedback in a respectful way​
• Be willing to use an outside platform for communication​

Spoiler: Events team

Events members plan and execute events for the forum. Some are one time events, some are recurring.

For those who don't know, those who want to be events members start as interns. An intern is more or less someone training to be an events member. We do this because not everyone initially realizes the type and amount of work it can take to be an events member, and some ultimately decide not to continue. This is why we have interns, to give the user an idea of what an events member will do. We also evaluate the interns after 3 months to see if they are a good fit for the team, but enthusiasm and activity are the primary traits we'd be looking at rather than perfection in every aspect. Event interns will also end up working on their proposed event in the application, and the event will run some time before they become a full member. But of course we would help with planning and modifications and hosting, so don't get nervous about making the perfect event when filling the application out Below we will give the requirements for events interns/members.

You must:

• Be at least 16
• Have an account that is at least 2 months old
• Be willing to make an account on an outside communication platform
• Actively participate within the team

Spoiler: Card team

Card team members will be in charge of handing out and creating cards, including limited event cards templates, along with planning special card events and features.

You must:

• Be 16+
• Have an account at least 4 months old
• Be willing to make an account on a communication app we use.
• Be willing to take part in internal card voting and creation, if needed, along with planning of new features
• Photoshop/Photopea experience is a plus, but not a requirement
• You must be active more or less daily. If you run into an extended time where you can't be active, you must let the team know.
• East Asian or Australian timezone bonus, but by no means required.

How do I apply to multiple teams?
You are free to apply to as many teams as you’d like, but can only become a part of one team at once. We would like you to make a tier list if you want to apply to multiple, and we would like you to attach that list to all team applications. If you are accepted into two or more teams, you will be placed in the higher ranked team unless there is a very good reason not to (ex. the lower team has no other choices/applicants they’d like to take on and the higher has multiple). But we will do our best to cater to your preferences, and if we can't, you may apply to your higher preferred team in the future of course.

Being creative is very important to us, so we won't give you any rules or mandatory facts that we want to see in your application.

Here are some guide questions, if you do struggle to write your application:

1. Why do you want to become a graphics team member?​
2. What is your experience with graphic design?​
3. How much time can you invest for the position?​
4. Which editing softwares are you most familiar with?​
5. How do you handle and give feedback?​
6. Are you applying to multiple teams? If so, what is your team ranking? (this question is required)​

Once you're done with writing your application, you HAVE to add AT LEAST 2 of your previous creations to the application.
We will give you a special task (header/banner etc), to see how you'd imagine certain things, after the application time ends.

You can also use that dm for clarifying questions, or if you have questions before submitting you are free to ask us as well, preferably in a group dm also.

The exact format is up to you, as long as it makes it clear which team you want to be a part of most and which one you want to be a part of least
