(btw you should have included some rules, especially on my first 2 points otherwise it wont be fair, but thats my opinion)
1. is there a max number of words?
2. is there a minimum number of words?
3. are we free in writing? (short story, poem, fanfic, etc ?)
4. are we free to chose the sub genre? (like horror for example)
5. does it have to be a new work or can we submit already written works?

You can, but it's not reccommended as you each would have to submit your own story if either of you want to earn the prize.

Yes it can be fanfic! And corrected ones are A-okay too, just tag me and let me know it's the corrected version

1. nope!
2. technically no but if you write 2 words it's very unlikely you'll win haha
3. As long as it's a retelling, you can write whatever you want! Even visual content is accepted!
4. Yes! Just as long as the original story isn't removed, you can add as many sub-genres as you'd like.
5. You can submit already written works as long as they are your own. I will be checking for that
