Getting Back Into Diamond Painting! (1 Viewer)

Hello! So, one of my friends gave me a set of these small diamond painting birds/insects as a present almost a week ago. I finally completed them, and I am planning to give all of them to friends I have in real life. I gave one of them first pick of any of them and texted pictures of them to him. He chose the beetle, and thought they all looked great and should be in a museum or something. I can't wait to hand out the other three.

As for the title, I used to be into diamond painting and loved it. I stumbled upon it online. It looked time consuming, but fun and satisfying. I wanted to develop my patience and figured it would help. I did a 30 x 30 with square drills and later a 30 x 40 with round drills. Both have their pros and cons, but I found the square ones looked better when finished to me and left less gaps (usually) so they were worth it to me.

One day, I started a huge 30 x 80 square drill one. I worked on it for a really long time and tried to be patient with it, but I had been working on it for months and was less than halfway done it with, so I gave up on it and, until a week ago, had never diamond painted since, worried that I would overestimate my patience yet again and end up with yet another one I never finished.

Since the ones I got from my friend were four smaller ones, each only being a few inches, and with round drills, they were all pretty quick to finish and each one took me less than two hours to finish (they have a back side as well and both sides have drills). Here are the finished results!

One of my coworkers saw it and asked for it, and told me she loves hummingbirds, so I told her she could have it and she was really happy about it.

I agree! I wasn't sure I was going to like them when I very first started them, but they're my favorite ones now that I finished them all.

These came out so nice! I like the different sizes and designs, like the larger green ones on the hummingbird to draw your eye to the wings. I think #3 is my favorite with all the colors!

Either keep them in my room or give them to friends. All of these I gave to friends.
