Why Kpop is so boring in 2019 ? (1 Viewer)

The big group have all been disappointed

- Twice try a "new concept" but they receive less support than their previous release and the song is less addictive than their previous one
- Blackpink release a good song too but at the end of the year everybody will forget it even now people talk less about their comeback and it was just one month ago
- BTS new song was disappointed, it only work very well because of their fanbase
- TXT was more hype before their debut than they are nowadays after releasing songs
- Mamamoo lose hype
- NCT will comeback but even them will not be enough
- G-idle senorita have been disappointing even for Neverland

It's sad to say this but the only Song who stand out this year was the song of a rookie GG, Itzy

Do you also feel that 2019 was very disappointing in term of relese this year ? Does it smell like the 3rd gen will end soon ?

2019 was very boring in term of music quality, let's hope summer will be better

Like you said, there is no quality in kpop anymore. I'm anticipating IU's comeback because of this, and I'm hoping PSY comes back even though he is a CEO now.

I stan lesser known groups and I have to say I haven't been disappointed in the slightest, I've heard so many bops and there were quite a few albums that I loved start to finish which is rare for me, so I definitely dont find it boring.

Speak for yourself i've had a ball, Sunrise, Butterfly, Gogobebe, Bom and Fifth Season, i've had something every month.

As for the impact of the comebacks there does seem to be a lack of impact but I am not sure if that is the groups problem or a larger problem because ULs as a whole seem down from their usual.

The good music was left back in 2016/2015 imo. 2019 is actually kinda good compared to 2017/2018. I said the same thing about those years but you know new gen stans.🙄

Sunrise was lacking compare to their previous stuff
Gogobebe is still better than their previous song
and fifth season is much better than remember me

and it's not even only about Korean GP even among Ifans these songs seems to completely disappear from the radar after 1 or 2 weeks and nobody talk about them

i hope they'll deliver
as a Leggo since the first hour i was disappointed with the song they released when they were only 4 but they came back Strong with I love you so i have some really high expectations for this comeback

2017 Was kind of boring too but 2018 left a good feeling to me for 2019 especially among nugu GG like april who released bops in 2018 so after 5 months in 2019 i'm still disappointed, i can't even choose my SOTY because none of the song stand out to me

Sunrise lacking is just you though, I didn't like Sunny Summer so Sunrise was an improvement for me

As for the 2nd part yeah I noticed it and the only thing I can theorise is because of the massive case that is going on right now involving idols which has affected the mood of things as a whole

I think a group like April would have fit the song too since they already release song of this type with blue and April story
and the fact that they are nugu but are still my favs, i would have less expectations for them compare to a GG of the top 5
