... today I'm going to absolutely tear down some idols and say the meanest things that come to my mind?

It somehow never happend to me... but Kpop fans seem to wake up with that mindset quite often.. I hope everyone can rest well and not be so angry all the time

In case you are wondering where this is coming from now.. I'm feeling a bit tired with the neverending amount of negavitiy Le Sserafim and ILLIT are getting recently and with LSFM performing at Cochella again today, I'm almost certain it will start all over again

I'm also still looking forward to watch it and I'm sure I will enjoy the performance again, but just dreading what happens afterwards

ILLIT is getting the same hate pretty much as LSFM.. (I mean same reason)

People are saying they can’t sing because of their encore stages. So apparently now idols can’t have fun or show emotions, they must sing absolutely perfect

true, that's the worst part i'll probably enjoy watching them but the hate coming afterwards will suck.. i personally havent read any hate towards groups i like since i stopped interacting with certain youtube channels and other media. for example, i always saw a lot of hate on hispanic k-pop news channels and their comment sections. since i started ignoring them, it's pretty enjoyable to watch stages even when they aren't the best

people who judge idols' vocals off of encore stages or those completely unverifiable "MR Removed" videos piss me off, to this day i cant stop seeing other fandoms drag momo from twice for her strained vocals in that one more & more encore stage like that was 4 years ago!! people can improve also she could've just had a bad moment, ONE encore doesn't define a whole idols' vocal ability especially when they're crying or jumping etc

I completely agree. A company would not waste their resources training and debuting someone who can’t sing. Of course they can! You can’t define someone by one moment or even a few. Some people are just so jobless/hobbyless that they can’t find anything better to do than hating

oh, I could write a whole essay on why I hate those haters! Who do they think they are??? This is Coachella, NOT American fudging Idol! Besides, if you're going to criticize, that's not how you do it anyway - be constructive about it. For example:

Constructive: Yunjin could improve on her vocals. *insert good reasons*
Mean: LSRFM's encore stage sucked, they must be awful singers!

Like, jbc one stage disappointed you, doesn't mean you can judge them by that and only that stage. Maybe they were having a bad day? Something else along those lines? Haven't your parents taught you the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover"?

This tends to happen to people who are what's known as "terminally online" they get negative outlooks on things but online and the real world are different and you can see something that seems a big deal online and quiz someone who you think might know in real life and nobody will care.

It does you well to just sometimes stay away from that whether that means staying off a certain part of a site or staying off a site entirely since it can lessen your enjoyment.

As for the issue with Le Sserafim Hybe isn't known for singing so this has always been something even when they just had BTS but if the crowd who paid to see any of the groups walk away satisfied then they don't need to change anything because well they have a fanbase and their fanbase was entertained.

It's been 12 years I'm into kpop and all I'll say is it's the saddest, most miserably toxic and pretentious fandom I've been part of. Everyone is so quick to jump the hate train like a bunch of sheeps. They all preach about mental health and wanting the industry to change but two seconds later will absolutely trash any idols that doesn't fit their high pedastal standards. Was Le sserafim Coachella performance bad? It wasn't their best imo. But the reactions are overexagerated and I blame Hybe for pretty much setting them up. They didn't seem ready at all.

yeah you are right, sadly I did not manage to avoid everything Also after watching the stage, I did not think people would go this crazy, so I was hopeful there will be a more positive reaction

I understand what you mean and I'm sure you are right for the most part, but when like in this example the situation is so out of control that the members like Sakura feel the need to make public statements on it too, it's not like you can just avoid a specfic site and especially if it goes on for so long on now (almost 2 month at this point)

yeah its all very dishonest sadly.. like for ILLIT I also saw that complaint "they are popular because of visuals", like people cannot even comprehend that they are doing well because they have a really fun and catchy song people enjoy
