I thought I was helping out somebody earlier today by helping them reset their instagram acc, but they reset my acc...I'm so freaking stupid...I hate myself...how could I be so stupid
They wanted 50 for it back but I got them down to 20 but I can't pay that much 😭 idk what to do
They're going through my messages asking people for money and that I'd pay them back tomorrow...idk but it might even be people I don't know irl

I thought so too. They said their phone was glitching and they need my phone number to send the reset code to and I can't believe I fell for it 😭 I hate myself

Deep breaths. I know it's a high stress situation right now, but logically: what do they actually have of yours? As long as it's not connected to a shop or payment information, then all they really have is access to the photos you've uploaded. Which you can download and reupload on a new account.

Reset any passwords on any other accounts that used the same or similar password. Don't engage with the scammers anymore, and report it to insta. And definitely don't pay them!
