What’s the worst movie trope?

Oh by far, my least favorite is when people TALK and EXPLAIN their plans at the worst times. Villain's got hero at gunpoint but he won't shoot. He'll explain his evil plan first and then get rekt coz he was a moron

Another one is when every bomb gets diffused with exactly 1 second to spare. And like when the countdown to the explosion has a minute left, and then 5 minutes later, there's 30 seconds left

What’s the saddest scene in a movie or TV series?

Ah there are so many, I can think of two off the top of my head that really bothered me for quite a while even after I finished watching.

1. Life is Beautiful

So it's an Italian movie from 1997, set during World War II, and a father and his son are trapped in a concentration camp, but the dad always tells his son they are playing a "game" and they can win points by doing whatever tasks are assigned to them. And whoever wins a 1000 points wins a tank and can go free.
Towards the end, after a lot of stuff, the father is caught and led off by soldiers to his execution. On the way, he passes by his son who is hiding, but he still winks at him, staying in character, so that his son doesn't know the depressing reality and keeps believing it's a part of the game.

It's genuinely one of the most affecting scenes I can remember

2. Game of Thrones: Hodor
