As another fun year ends on KpopSource, we must recognize the many users who make this forum what it is. Those who are friendly, funny, creative, awesome people and more. This month, you will decide the users who deserve acknowledgement for their contributions on KS.

Welcome to the 2024 KS User and Staff Awards!

​

• You are allowed to nominate yourself.​
• You can only nominate the same user up to 3 times within the user category. There is no limit for how many times you can nominate a staff member in the staff categories.​
• The Events Team have the right to decide which users move to the voting period in the event of a tie.​
• Submissions with no usernames will not be counted.​
• You cannot nominate the previous year's winner of an award for the user categories.​
• You can nominate the previous winner of the staff categories.​
• Previous winners of user categories can be nominated for other awards they didn’t win last year.​
• Staff members who were hired in 2023 are eligible for Rookie of the Year, and Staff and Team Member of the Year.​
• You can only nominate up to 5 different users for each category.​
• Once you have sent in your nominations, please confirm it by posting in this thread that you nominated, it will not be counted otherwise.​
• Only users with more than 300 posts can submit their nominations.​
• Please don’t pressure other users to nominate you, if you’re caught doing so you will automatically be disqualified from this event.​

Comedian Of The Year
A user who always makes you laugh.

Aesthetic Pro
To nominate yourself for this award, submit your username and a screenshot of one of your layouts to me via DM. You can also nominate a fellow KS user in the Google Form, who will then be informed that they’re nominated, they will then be given the opportunity to send in one of their layouts from this year.

Most Dedicated User
A user who talks about their bias 24/7.

Friendliest User
A user known for being friendly and welcoming to others.

Ship Of The Year
To be eligible you must have an official KS ship.

User Of The Year
A user who you think contributed and stood out the most.

Rookie Of The Year
A new user (users who joined October 2023 - 2024) who you believe contributed and stood out the most.

OP Of The Year
A user who you think made some of the best threads this year.

Comeback Of The Year
A user who went on at least a 5 month long hiatus, but returned and has been actively contributing to the forum.

Staff Awards
Nominations will be 30% users and 70% staff. The categories in bold text aren’t included in the nomination period as there are either fewer than 5 eligible users or exactly 5 eligible users, all automatically proceed to the voting period.

There are several teams omitted. The only ones requiring voting in the nomination stage are teams with more than five members. Events has exactly 5.

My first thought was to vote for selfie in the spirit of Boaty McBoatface(which not winning was too bad, as it wasn't against the rules at the time: at least give a cool reason like the boat thought the name was not in line with its personality and not just outright declaring it not the winner-TIL it was eventually used as the name of another vehicle in the same fleet. In tat spirit I might vote for selfie this year)
