IT JUST DIED. AND AAA BATTERIES ARE A DYING BREED IN MY HOUSEHOLD. THIS NEEDS TO STOP. I CAN'T GAME OR DO ANYTHING PROPERLY AND I AM A FIXED PC GAMER, I REFUSE MOBILE. PLUS I DONT EVEN HAVE A DAMN PHONE.

sometimes Energizer (which is best, but Energizer is in the mouse rn and it's so fucking damn dumb cuz it's dead so i don't trust the rabbit anymore

TL;DR they both work the same. Just gotta remember which charger goes to which. Also never put a normal AAA in a battery charger. It'll explode

Spoiler: The long version

The lithium versions use the same chemical as in your phone battery, for example. The AAA lithium batteries have their own individual circuit boards for charging for safety so they often have a normal phone charging port on them (USB Micro B or USB-C) useful lifetime about 5-7 years depending on quality.

Ni-MH or Nickel Metal Hydride batteries are much older tech but much safer. so this is just the bare battery, but they are often seen as having small capacity because their voltage is naturally slightly lower (1.2volts versus 1.5volts of a normal one) useful lifetime of about 2-5 years depending on quality and use.

Then I think lithium ones are good for you! Most charge directly off of a phone charger and you don't have a risk of explosion from putting them in the wrong charger because usually they'll have protection circuits that shut off the battery.

It's not the worst idea to have a wired gaming mouse as a 2nd option. My everyday mouse is still wired (Razer Naga: Left-Handed Edition).
