He’s a hockey player so I am not surprised that you don’t know him

He’s probably one of the most famous modern day hockey players, followed by Auston Matthews. Oh yeah I totally forgot about Taylor Swift but yeah I can see the argument for her

Doesn't time have a most influential ppl list?

[athenaaa]

Doesn't time have a most influential ppl list?

They do. I was just reading a book about 100 people who changed the world so I was inspired to make this thread

[Selfmate]

Besides the ppl you mentioned

If one would say modern day as being post 2000???

I would add people like

Bill Gates
Rupert Murdoch
Barack Obama
Xi jin ping

[StirFriedPanda]

Wow we're doomed

Yeah, I don't have much hope for the US's survival. Ans as the US implodes I fear it's going to take Canada with it while the rest of the world suffers.

[HelloGoodbyeDie]

Greta forever!

We are not becoming the 51st state

[Chiara]

I agree with Kat - Taylor Swift!

[StirFriedPanda]

We are not becoming the 51st state

I'm hoping you'll invade and we can all be Canadians.

I like that scenario better but you guys will have to accept our strict gun laws

[StirFriedPanda]

I have no problem with that. I don't own a gun and Americans have proven beyond any doubt we are not responsible enough nor mentally stable enough for them.

I know some people who would have an issue with it

[StirFriedPanda]

I know some people who would have an issue with it

Wait long enough and someone will shoot them.

[Pirioca]

I'd also put Volodymyr Zelensky, Jen-Hsun Huang (CEO of Nvidia), Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google), and Xi Jinping on the list.

But often the most influencal people in our lives are our families and friends (the real ones, not the so-called 'friends' on Social Media).

second these, would also include more political operatives and other media/tech and finance people
susie wiles comes to mind, as does pavel durov, nvidia's basically singlehandedly propping up the main us equity indices so jensen huang too -- on the topic of ai the authors of attention is all you need too
arthur sackler basically invented modern medical advertising and his empire arguably was the number one contributor to the drug crisis today
