I also love listening to music but I keep forgetting to listen to my friends’ recommendations (which I asked for btw!) I keep complaining I have such boring music taste and that I listen to the same songs over and over again but I haven’t done anything

Oh, my backlog is still horrific. I struggle to go through albums, so that's why I check out singles and lone songs instead lol.
RYM/RateYourMusic is an online music archive where you can rate and categorize music releases. It's also known for being pretentious/hipster-y, but I enjoy it. Better getting songs through there than Billboard or the radio. AlbumoftheYear is a similar site.
As for shows this year, I've watched Idol I and (finally) the Total Drama Reboot. I've got plenty of backlog in this area, too. I've been meaning to watch Scarlet Heart since Seohyun and IU are in there, I'm just apprehensive about K-Dramas. They're not usually my thing. Does it have a lot of K-Drama-isms in it?
Don't even get me started on my reading backlog. I went through my old college bins and got the books out so there's even MORE books staring me in the face right now. Might pick up the vocabulary one since I want to get into linguistics and language. Recently, I've been going through Wiki articles about different extinct languages and common misconceptions.

I'm also shit at trying new songs or albums I say my top group is ateez and Istg I do love them but I only know 36 of like 100 songs I have to fight myself to try anything newI trust ateez to always bring smth fire but still it took me so long to make myself try their new album and thats only because I heard one and it was good
