I find it really bizarre that they won't allow him to do solo works while still being part of the team. Does that mean the others won't be allowed to debut as solo artists until belift debut a new boy group that generates as much or even more concert revenue, etc? or is it ' it's either being part of the group or being a solo artist' without any middle ground thing?

Does the same condition apply to the illit members? Because I'm sure some members, like Minju or Yunah, would like to debut as solo artists while still being part of the illit.

This is absolutely insane to me but I'm assuming Belift did the "You can either stay in the group with 0 solo promotions or leave and do solos" thing. I would not be surprised if the group's entire momentum is ruined just by doing that

Hello, this is BELIFT LAB.

We would like to express our gratitude toward ENGENE for their unwavering support for ENHYPEN and provide information on ENHYPEN's future activities.

BELIFT LAB has given much thought and consideration into ENHYPEN's future direction and goals. Through in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team, it became clear that HEESEUNG has his own distinct musical vision and we have decided to respect it.

As such, HEESEUNG will be parting ways with ENHYPEN, and ENHYPEN will continue official activities henceforth as a group of six members.

It’s difficult to relay the whole process through a short notice, but this decision comes after extensive deliberation. We understand that this news is a lot to process and may be received with mixed reactions. Nevertheless, we hope you understand that this decision was made for the future of ENHYPEN and HEESEUNG.

ENHYPEN remains committed to sharing energetic performances with ENGENE. HEESEUNG will be preparing a solo album as an artist under BELIFT LAB.

We ask for ENGENE's continued love and support for ENHYPEN and HEESEUNG as they start a new chapter of their journey.

i was at the mall with my friends because of a school event when belift released their statement. i tried so hard not to cry. but after dinner (at my house), i js bawled my eyes out and listened to heeseung’s covers and enha songs JS WHEN I FINALLY DECIDED TO KEEP UP WITH ENHYPEN UPDATES TOO there were no signs… they literally have unfinished schedules like wdym… now how am i supposed to watch new en-o’clock episodes without our bambi in it? fan chants without “lee heeseung” will also sound so weird ik there’s probs more to this but i will always support my babies and i will respect heeseung’s decision. whatever actually happened, i’m sure it wasn’t easy for any of them :(((( AND ONE LAST THING, F YOU BELIFT!!!!!!

Personally any one can agree that one can become a soloist but still be part of a group, but then again we dont what the company discussed with Heeseung

But why would Belift/Hybe kick him out of the group? Enhypen is currently doing really well and Heesung is (or was) one of the key members.
Wanting to go solo is not a reason for kicking a member out, especially since he is still staying with the company.

There was probably something discussed among the company and Heeseung himself. I dont believe Heeseung himself personally wanted this decision himself, other idols have become soloist without any removal from their perspective group, how is it that all of a sudden the one of the most important members of this group decides to leave, terminating his contract with the company would've been a bit different but him still continuing under the same company? It feels off....it seems that the company had more of a say with that decision over Heeseung himself...they probably felt that he too good to be in a group so it just left me there questioning that part more...why stay under the label yet leave the group in which is under the same company?
