I don't really know what type or genres you like, so I am going into this blind and just base it on my own favorites and slap some comment for each song lol.


This will remain forever one of my absolute favorites. The people involved that produced and composed this deserve an award imo. From the sound of actual waves rolling, to the underwater distortion of the voice, it's all just perfect.


This is also a favorite I have played a lot. I really just love the classical like sound in this song. Bae her voice also really stands out in this one in the beginning. Towards the end of the song I also really love that angel like voice.


This is one of the more upbeat songs. I added it to my playlist to workout to when it was released.


This one is one of those songs I really like to just relax to and play in the background as I do something else on my laptop. The beat and sounds used in it reminds me a lot of the late 90s.


This one is also a song I loved to play during workouts, it has a nice mix of that typical NMIXX sound mixed with some heavy bass in it.


This is again a more slower song, but I really love the vocals and high notes in it. Fun fact: my mother claimed this as her favorite song.


This was a song that I instantly loved a little too much. It has a different sound than all previous songs, but man is it right up my alley of my current taste.


While this is not my favorite of the EP, it is very loved by fellow fans, so I will add this too. (Lily wrote this one all by herself)


These two will be my last ones so you have ten songs. I think both these songs sound so empowering, I can imagine them singing this as a intro to their concerts.




I'll also tag the fandom incase some are interested and / or have not heard some of the B-sides.

but I'm nice so pass is the lowest I can go

You could say you really didn't like some songs instead of just saying pass tho lol. I am very flexible and the kind of fan that can take some critique when it comes to groups I like. Heck, I have voiced my own opinion on songs about NMIXX before too.

I think some songs like Reality Hurts, Podium, Superior, are only liked when you grew up on the genre that is used in those songs. I noticed streaming wise those songs didn't really do well on Spotify and often were among the least listened to.

You tend to prefer songs that show off beautiful vocals over heavy processing. You especially like songs that sound like they could be from a Chinese drama or something (ala i-dle's Hwaa). Despite that, you generally seem to prefer like upbeat songs over slow ballads, as in, just because it shows off beautiful vocals, you like a song that still moves a bit, and it's not just them sitting around showing off their vocal range.

You also like songs with more emotional weight to them. You do like some random fun stuff too (like randomly being one of the only people who liked LSFM's Celebration). But if it's a more upbeat song + nice vocals + beautiful message, that seems to generally win out over something that's just fun.

That's why I was like, Selfie will definitely not like Reality Hurts. The vocal processing takes away a good chunk of what you like in songs.

I loved Celebration too actually like right behind ILLIT their It's Me, I even liked WDA of Aespa. I think this year is a year filled with Kpop that is catered to my taste apart from my own faves their title song so far

I didn't mind WDA, but I don't think they used G-Dragon well enough. It should have gone harder. But when it's not my favorite group, I generally like the songs the fandom doesn't like and am indifferent on the songs the fandom likes.

Random aside, but I've been meaning to ask: what's in your signature? I'm assuming it's a clip from an MV, but I don't recognize it.

It's from the official MV of ILLIT their song "It's Me". I just loved whenever the small bean Wonhee appeared so I just went with it as sig lol, altho I have slowed it down too much and now it looks weird.

I do like historical instruments especially Chinese ones like Guzheng or Guqin or Erhu and I think they sound great. I also really appreciate a good Chinese historical drama (not necessarily period drama but based on actual history) so any music that goes with that I adore. I like quite a bit of Chinese OSTs

I do like vocals but it's always the melody that gets me first - whether it's something catchy or just a pleasant melody and then if the lyrics and message of the song is also up there then I consider that 5 thumbs up

the issue with "fun stuff" is finding out what I consider "fun" because what I consider fun might not be fun to others hence the randomness of it lol

Well, it was interesting to see a non fan their perspective about NMIXX their B sides. I went in not expecting anything tbh lol. But I never judge people by their taste in songs, and as said before I wouldn't feel different had you said for instance that you really hate a song. That's the beauty of Kpop, there is so much of it to the point it will always have several songs for anybody their tastes.

this song kinda a bright teenpop song but the prechorus tho, ugh sounds classy


if you want something different from them, maybe more like country sound then this song is a perfect match for you. i really like song since the first time i heard it especially the violin
