Do you have a hard time saying "I love you" to someone? (1 Viewer)

I know I do. I don't know why though. Of course this doesn't pertain to just romantic relationships. In platonic relationships it can be hard to say as well.

I just feel kind of awkward saying it and I've always had a difficult time expressing my feelings with others, especially in real life. I do love the friends I made here and I love my family more than anything, but it's hard for me to express my love for them. I'm sure my family knows I love them, but for some reason it's hard to say "I love you" straight to someones face.

What about you? Do you have a hard time with it as well?

Yes. It takes time for me to say "love you". Sometimes even to my mom lol it feels weird, I don't understand why we are really close.
So I can 100% relate.

I have a hard time with "real" emotion. I have been called apathetic a lot, however I can easily say I love you with no meaning or context. I cant really say it is a good thing.

Definitely, Ive never said it to an irl person. I'm a little more comfortable saying it to my online friends since they say things like that more often but it still isnt easy and I never say it to someone without meaning it.

I rarely say it to people in real life too. I just feel weird saying it. Saying it to you guys is a lot easier for some reason though.

Yes. Its easier online. But,when I spell it right Its more serious.

When I say with my own voice. It usually is a confession. I only say it to family,best friends and someone I cherish intimately.

I have no problem saying it to people whether it's online or otherwise, but I usually only say it if i mean it :llama_uwu:

i only feel comfortable saying it to my siblings so i tell them a million times a day to bug them, yeah but also because im the oldest and i cherish them a lot (they never say it back tho, i cant even bribe them to say it ). and ig i say ily to my online friends p often too, but i very rarely write it in full

with friends, i can say it however i don't say it much... i will say it when its said to me first or drop it randomly in a convo and brush past it as quick as possible.
With my kid, no problem.
With a partner i'm in love with tend to freak out, it just feels so foreign to me because i'm not the most romantic bean in the pod... the only two people i have fallen in love with... i didn't even physically tell them the first time (after that was fine i dropped in casually during conversations and brush past it lol)... i actually just wrote it down and ran away like a child, they had to come find me like literally...

like the ex i had my kid with, when i fell in love with him, i wrote a long arse paragraph while he was asleep and left it on his computer and just left his house and sat in a dark park on a swing (I couldn't go home at the time, it was past 12am no public transport)he found me like 2-3 hours later...xD

Kinda.. Well, yeah, I do have a hard time saying it. I say it to my parents just fine, but it's difficult with anyone else. I'm normally not the first one to say "I love you", even to my friends. They know I love them a lot (I really hope so at least), and if they say they love me then I don't hesitate at all to say it back. I do get a bit shy though lol. But if I try to say it first or if it's in a serious situation (by serious I mean not saying it jokingly) then I become very flustered and I just can't do it-

It's easy for me to say it to my close family, but to anyone else it's hard for me. I just don't really expect to hear it from others besides my family so it always kind of throws me off whenever someone unrelated to me says it and then is just looking at me expecting to hear the same thing back. It's so much pressure! lol

I rarely say "I love you" to someone - even family. It's kinda hard to just say it out of the blue - at least for me. I also don't say it that easily to any other person. Probably because my personality isn't like this (to say thing over and over again). Idk

While i was in a relationship i said it often but i think that's why it lost it's meaning a bit so now i know not to do it next time as much
It is supposed to mean something you know.
Otherwise to family members i can say it usually not that it's easy

I've never felt that strongly towards anyone, romantically or otherwise.
Thus, I've never said it.
I've said "I lub you" a lot of times before though.
