Cos shes a billionaire, i think (not cos of wat she wrote n created but cos contracts written in 90s/2000s hv more teeth for popular writers than in 70s which is why Tolkien family arent billionaires(at least from the movies), maybe from the tv series hopefully.)

She created a secret/hidden world where magic happens but shapechanging doesnt mean no trans operations for people with gender disphoria. N gay people only exist retroactively in her books. Im not gay or trans, not tat theres anything wrong wit tat but i do hv compassion n sympathy for anyone different who is ostracised from the mainstream just by being who they r; (kpop fans from rock/mainstream music world; also im a science fiction(book)/comics fan from b4 Marvel movies/MCU conquered the world). I been an outsider almost all my life just from my interests, hobbies but doesnt mean i feel i belong in harry potter fandom or marvel movie fandom just cos i like the same thing.

The creator of Harry Potter was never really an outsider or marginalised from society ig. Even Hermione, which seems closest to author avatar to me found her place n was validated as the brightest witch of her generation.

So anyone who thot her(jkr) world was inclusive to outsiders brought their own pov into it, (like u only belonged to the in group if u were blessed with magic, even opposition to the good side wasnt permanent as draco n malfoy fam showed. But only if u were magic did u belong.) I still love the story n the movies ig. But it ( n jkr) aint perfect. (N i think her views r perfectly consistent with her works as written in HP books).

Tldr she always been this way, just never said it out earlier (not the first time she tweeted abt this opinion).

I think this is the hole people fall into when they confuse gender with biological sex. I’ve heard some people argue that gender is a social construct and I’ve heard some people argue that biological sex isn’t as straightforward as we are taught to believe but I’ve never really heard anyone try and argue that we should scrap biological gender altogether...
