i have a pretty picky ear quality wise, but i'm open to mostly anything as long as it's well executed. Within japanese music i essentially like mostly anything that isn't 48 family music or a large chunk of idol or anime music (though i ocassionally like songs like that but its rare). I mainly like stuff from Avex, so maybe that's a good reference point.
