News Cube announces new group Lightsum (1 Viewer)

According to the agency, the meaning of the name LIGHTSUM is that “bright LIGHTs will come together as one SUM in order to reach everyone across the world, becoming a group that will convey more positive energy to everyone through their message of hope.”

In addition to launching a new Twitter account for the group, which you can check out here, Cube Entertainment also unveiled LIGHTSUM’s official logo—as well as a psychedelic teaser announcing the group’s debut through an “official logo animation.”

Cube needs to stop. How are they going to debut a new group when they can't even take care of the groups they already have, prime example: CLC. Cube acts as if CLC doesn't even exist

I think them debuting a new group is weird but they might need it as a back up plan in case the next G-idle comeback goes haywire, especially with Soojin and everything

No, I don't think so atm, but just in case, and since Idle heavily relies on the GP, the next time they do comeback whenever that is, is what I was trying to infer. Saying that when they do is probably when Soojin will return so they probably have this group as a cushion in case things go wrong. Kinda like a plan B if you will
