Forum Activity / Too Much? / Enough? (1 Viewer)

~~yes that is right, yet another annoying but to me interesting ''forum'' topic to talk about~~

What type of forum activity is enough for you? What is too much?
Is it enough for you when a forum it's members are not super active and create new threads every week but not new ones every single day like what happens here or is that not enough activity for you? do you consider such forums ''dead'' ish ? even though members still may log on every single day and post a little
Do you maybe prefer a forum the most when there is 100/200+ members online at the same time all day every day and have 100000 of new posts every hour

i think a forum is the most enjoyable when it comes to activity with at least 50/70 members online per day
so that is not a lot but also not little in my opinion
and for staff it may be more easy to handle such numbers moderating wise
being staff on a forum with 200+ members online all the time , would and could be chaotic a little?

i think forums that do not have super much activity per day but still enough activity per week, so let's say 40/50 new threads per week
it may not sound like a big number for some of you but i think it is more than enough for some places
it is also enjoyable sometimes to be a part of a small family like community where it is super cozy because everyone is on real good terms with each other

I like it when people update respectful threads "am I shading? yes" :D. because as you will all see one day,
and it is fun, it is like growing flowers, raising children and all.
I have always been one for having two good friends rather than 20, but I have to admit two things:

a) we are creating lots of threads for cards and that should be taken in consideration and it is more work than it should be :D
b) bigger forums might actually be more welcoming as there is always someone who shares your music interests. (or maybe I just have a weird taste :D)

Actually I think it's perfect the way it is in this forum. For me personally, that's just the right amount of activity. I enjoy the fact that there's not too much members here because this makes it easier to get to know each other. I also enjoy that there's a good mix of K-pop related threads and also general chat threads.

I visit four forums currently. AKP is too fast for me, so I just use the J-POP and Introductions sections, that's it. I'm more active here because of familiarity more than anything. Aside from AKP, I have been here the longest. The other two forums, are preferable to me because they are not as busy as AKP. There have been a fifth forum that I decided to abandon and never visit again.

I agree, too many active members spamming the place makes it sometimes impossible to get close with people

I never been active on allkpop lol
Never was a fan of the typical comments I seen on there

The b point is true I guess
Not many Vixx fans here as to compared to bigger places maybe

I actually have a google doc with all my pre-planned topics and found videos and was like REALLY organised about it :D.

I like how active this current forum is atm and wouldn't mind for there to be more traffic either. As long as there are users posting daily, I won't consider it dead. The good thing is that I also see more and more users discovering KPS lately
