What do you think of those, and who would you recommend? I used to like them a lot but now it all turned into "let me release this choreography first".

As a professional dancer, I can tell a difference between a well-practiced routine and a choreography learned on the go. Unfortunately, even major channels are now doing "on the go" where they release covers hours within the original release. Idols practice their choreography for months, sometimes up to a year. That's why they look so smooth, synced and effortless. You simply cannot learn a dance chorus within 45 minutes and immediately release it as a cover. It's sloppy, it lacks detail, it is not accurate, it does not do justice to the original. From presentation perfectionist's point of view (a.k.a me), it takes at least 7 days of practice to make your performance just watchable, not even close to perfect. Lots of practice is needed to perfect even a simple choreography. Having multiple members doesn't make things easier either. Coordination and synchronization is a bitch with any group that has more than 2 members. There are some talented people who really do seem to learn choreographies easily and can present them in somewhat watchable format shortly after official release (Ellen and Brian come to mind). However in their latest (I believe it was Eung Eung cover) Ellen did the cover and while the 8-counts are on point you can really tell that the moves aren't perfected. Not to mention non-existent facial expressions.

What are your thoughts on it? Do you prefer to watch the cover ASAP or you'd wait a fair amount of time for a dancer to practice the cover?

I don't know anything about dancing, but I usually like the dance practice videos from idols (even the ones that I don't follow).
Idk why, but I actually don't like dance covers. Maybe it is because your mentioned reasons are visible.

I would prefer if the dancer practice the dance until it is really good.
1) If you don't do it probably then it's kinda disrespectful to the group/dance.
2) Quality over Quantity

Dance Practices are a blissful sight. You can see all the effort and the time idols invested in being so top-notch. And yes, Quality over Quantity should always be the case.

I'd rather wait until they perfected their choreography, I am really picky when it comes to choreographies. It has to be precise and to not disrespect the original owner of the dance/song
