Appreciation Taeyeon - What Do I Call You : NASA's full appreciation :sjweary: (1 Viewer)

This is not a review just appreciation~

I love the vibe of this whole album sm (I mean imma say this for every Taeyeon album tho) if I could pick a specific vibe for this album it would be putting the radio on while you're driving through some scenic bit of countryside (bonus points if there's a windmill) with the sun out giving everything a warm glow and you put the radio on and basically any song aside from the title is playing. The title is a whole damn vibe on it's own man.

As much as I love Taeyeon's power ballads and stuff I also really loved her more relaxed songs as well, they're just really nice to sing along to to fill the silence and she's also really good at conveying emotion in her voice which I think is just as valuable if not more valuable than being able to sing high notes in a song so this makes Taeyeon's more relaxed work just as interesting and addicting as her more powerful songs!

To put the title on it's own lil pedestal I really love the lyrics. It's like I don't have enough dating experience to have actually experienced what the song's about but just by listening to the song I feel like I can relate somehow cuz they're just really well written. My favourite parts are in the chorus!

First of all I think the rhythm it's sung in is just really addicting, but also the way some of the lyrics are sort of asking herself along with the melody is like huge big brain shit cuz if you listen to the melody, on some lines the tone goes up at the end, just like we do when asking a question!! "별일 없던 척 말을 거나?" ("Should I talk to you as if nothing really happened?") It's so lowkey genius! I'm also obsessed with how she says 'my daisy' I will do anything for Taeyeon to call me her daisy like i'm desperate here.

Aside from the title, my favourite song would probably be Playlist~ I like singing along to the 'da da da da da deeeeeeeee' lmao. Also considering the whole mini album is pretty chill I feel like Galaxy has exactly the perfect amount of chill to end the album without being too chill to the point of feeling a bit empty since with more chill albums I think it's quite easy to make it a little underwhelming but this album is balanced perfectly I think~
