Sweet Spice is an 11-member girl group under Bright Crown Entertainmewnt. The members include seven Koreans and one each of Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Irish-Korean. They are making their official debut sometime in July 2026 (aka whenever I come around to making their first mini lol) with a self-titled mini-album, with the lead single "Shake It Up". As their name suggests, they have a dual concept of sweet vs. spicy, inspired by groups like Red Velvet and Blackpink.

Birth name: Jeon Ju-Yeon

-She learned English by herself through YouTube tutorials. As a result, she’s very fluent and has an almost perfect English pronunciation.
-She also knows Japanese and Chinese and is currently learning Thai from Indie.
-She had been a trainee since she was fifteen.
-She had a brief stint training for JYP, then she moved to HYBE for a while before she started at Bright Crown.
-Her celebrity crush is Jooyeon from Xdinary Heroes, and not just because they share a name.

Sanga

-She and Ava are almost tied for oldest member, as Ava was born just thirteen days after she was.
-She started wanting to dance for a living when she saw Jennifer Lopez in a choreography video.
-She can’t eat hard foods like apples due to sensitive teeth.
-Besides Korean, she’s also fluent in Japanese and Thai. Her English and Chinese aren’t as good, but she can understand English and read some Chinese characters.
-She was born into a very musical family. Her dad is a K-pop producer, and her mom sings in the church choir.

Ava

Birth name: Aoife Grace Bang

Position: Main rapper, sub-vocalist

-She and Sanga would’ve been birthday twins if she’d been born just thirteen days earlier.
-She was born to an English mom and a Korean dad.
-She took French in high school and is now almost completely fluent.
-She’s multilingual like her unnies: she knows Korean, French, Irish Gaelic, and Japanese.
-She has a twin brother, Aodhan, who is currently a trainee at Bright Crown. She was actually his inspiration to become an idol.

Chae

Birth name: Yoon Chae-Young
Nationality: Korean
Position: Main vocalist, lead dancer, sub-rapper, visual

-Her younger sister Chae-Mi is also in the group.
-Sisterhood isn’t the only thing they have in common, though: they’re both visuals.
-She started singing as soon as she could talk in sentences, thanks to her mom singing to her while pregnant and after she was born.
-Her nickname is Chatty Chae because she talks so much.
-She knows some basic English, like the words hello, goodbye, yes, and no, but she can’t speak English sentences yet. Because of this, she often looks to Jeonju for translation issues.

Jade

Birth name: Chou Yutong

-Contrary to popular assumption and despite her love for the color green and the gemstone, her stage name is actually derived from the meaning of her birth name.
-Fans are saying she looks a lot like Yuqi from (G)I-dle.
-She can play guitar very well, both acoustic and electric.
-She took vocal lessons as a kid and young teen and can sing in Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean.
-Her English is very broken, and she’s the least confident in speaking it. So, whenever they have English-spoken interviews, she’ll answer in Mandarin or Korean for Jeonju to translate.

Indie

Birth name: Intira Bunchai
Nationality: Thai
Position: Main rapper, lead vocalist, visual
Birthday: 6/14/2007
-She’s the cleanliest member of the group.
-She can be very clumsy, but the girls always make sure she’s safe.
-She was supposed to be an identical twin, but the other baby died when they had TTTS.
-She has a speech impediment but is self-confident enough to use it as her charm point.
-She’s the happy virus of the group.

Damin

Birth name: Kim Da-Min
Nationality: Korean
Position: Main dancer, sub-vocalist
Birthday: 7/13/2007
-She and Jeonju are close friends.
-She was inspired to learn dance by the same person as Jeonju, Jennifer Lopez.
-She originally wanted to be a ballerina, but she changed her mind when she was scouted by Bright Crown.
-She has the least lines in songs out of all the members, but she’s constantly working towards changing that.
-She trained for three years.

Keiko

Birth name: Sugiyama Keiko
Nationality: Japanese
Position: Main dancer, lead vocalist, sub-rapper

-She’s the hyper-upper of the group.
-She can make perfect dolphin and whale impressions.
-Her charm points are her eye smile and her dimples.
-Her favorite hairstyle is the twin tail, and she’s always sporting them.
-Her representative animal is the bunny for how energetic they are.

Lotus

Birth name: Yoon Chae-Mi
Nationality: Korean
Position: Main vocalist, lead dancer, visual
Birthday: 7/21/2008
-She’s the younger sister of Chae.
-Like Chae, she was inspired by her lullaby-singing mom to start singing professionally.
-They started out training separately, she on SM and Chae on YG, but after those contracts fell through, they both ended up on Bright Crown.
-She and Jade are besties.
-Her original stage name on SM was Jamie, but she requested it be changed to Lotus because it’s her favorite flower.

AJ

Birth name: Kang Ae-Jeong
Nationality: Korean
Position: Main dancer, lead rapper
Birthday: 8/21/2008
-She was raised in a broken home and ran away just to audition for Bright Crown.
-She was almost disallowed by her family to become an idol, but they eventually saw her talent and let her continue to train.
-Her favorite band is 5 Seconds of Summer, and she used their music to help get her through her tough childhood.

Honey G

Birth name: Han Ji-Hyeon
Nationality: Korean
Position: Lead rapper, sub-vocalist, maknae
Birthday: 9/4/2008
-Rumor had it that she was actually a 2011 liner (which would’ve made her fourteen) and had K-fans boycotting the group until her real age of 17 was revealed.
-Despite her spitfire rapping and tsundere looks, she’s the sweetest, most sensitive member.
-Her inspiration came when she heard Lisa from Blackpink rapping on “How You Like That”.
-She’s a huge fan of BTS.
-She was bitten by a dog as a little kid and has a scar on her right forearm to prove it.

no, she's Korean-Irish - I just forgot to change it. lol I originally had her be from England and named Hollie, buttttttttt then I realized there are no Korean-Irish idols, so...
