I collected horror movies throughout my teens, Hellraiser was one of my first loves. I watched 1-8 dozens of times and I saw the reboot not so long ago but those other two unmentionables without Doug I'm not touching with a 10'ft pole. 1,2,5 and 7 are my favorites, it's interesting how the series changes genres halfway through, I only learned recently that only the first movie is based on Clive Barker's book that I plan to read soon.

When I was very little I woke up in the middle of the night and put the TV on while 'A Nightmare on Elmstreet' was running and it scared me, that's why I started collecting later on to overcome my fears - I bought the box set when I was 15 and it was the first in my collection. Friday the 13th was second and Halloween not too far after.

I think both 'A Nightmare on Elmstreet' and 'Halloween' are really good in terms of story while Friday the 13th are just entertaining in a mindless sort of way, the original 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' from 1974 is also really good in a different way, probably the most oppressive and disturbing of the bunch but the sequels sucked ass - I don't know what they were thinking.

Do you have any favorites? I think for Freddy 1 & 3 are the best, Halloween I would go for 4 which is a controversial pick. Friday the 13th, hm, definitely 6.

I offered to make a friend a HUNTR/X doll, since her child has just discovered them, and she offered to pay for it and :lisalaugh: The amount of money that yarn costs, that alone is way more than anyone would be willing to pay for a silly doll for their kid. People are so funny. I'd make the doll anyway, lol.
