I just recently started taking BC and I assumed it was going well these past few days but I feel like now the horrific things people say happen when you get on it. I don’t know if it's just me being my typical asshole self, but i feel like everything people do is being done to piss me off and i feel like flipping out over everything that slightly inconveniences me. I also feel like everything is too hot but also kind of cold at the same time all the time. I thankfully haven't been nauseous but I have however just felt super hungry. I don’t know if it's been like this for anyone else but let me know how it's been for you

As a dude I can only go by what my wife and previous girlfriends say about BC

it affects people in different ways since one of the effects is hormonal changes and that affects people differently
Some people have no adverse effects whatsoever - others have massive changes sometimes as if they are almost a totally different person...

If the effects of BC affect you in ways that you don't want - go back to your doctor or go off the BC for a while and see if things revert back to prior

Birth control is such a unique thing cause no person has the same experience. I'm on a certain one that helps with acne but I've also had my anxiety and depression be less dramatic or at least less longer episodes. I personally like mine.

Don't let anyone glorify or demonise birth control, it does not do anything good lol, don't listen to the people being concerned about it, and you can make the calls about what you do with yourself

yeah, go see your doc about it. maybe you need to get off it for awhile or try something else?

I'll try it but I think that's a decision for when I'm an adult

I may not be correct but depending on where you're currently located you don't need to be 18 or any specific age to be evaluated for your own birth control. Im not sure about outside the US but over here I didnt need my parent and explicitly told them they didn't know I was coming so they ensured a confidentiality protocol so she never would find out without my knowledge
