Hello! I'm Charlotte! I'm 21 from the UK. Maybe we can be friends if you are similar to me :p

I've been a fan of mostly exclusively girl groups since 2016.

Of course Gangnam Style was my first exposure to K-Pop, and I loved PSY so much as a kid. I would spend my iTunes gift card money as a little kid from Christmas to buy "Gentleman", lol. I was always on virtual world games like MovieStarPlanet and SmallWorlds back in the early 2010s right up to the end of that era, and so many of my friends from back then online influenced my musical tastes (even if some of it was just to fit in with them, I ended up enjoying a lot of it). EXO was one of the few boy groups I enjoyed a couple songs from back in 2014. I also like a few songs from ASTRO. RIP Binnie.

In high school, my friend was super into both girl/boy groups, she introduced me to Momoland (this was like, late 2017?) so thanks for that. They're still in my top 10 GGs.
I remember we were always in the quiet nerdy group so at lunch times, the maths teacher let us sit in her classroom (teachers pets, lol) and we would play K-Pop on the computer/whiteboard screen. Good times!!!

yeaah :D all of ILLITs releases are bangers :p who is ur fave? also i tried playing msp again but it was just the downloadable version of the browser game i think

actually this is inspiring me to log back in and make some girl group outfits...

I've been meaning to watch R U Next, but I watched Idol School like 5 years after fromis_9 debuted and I was so sad when a lot of the girls I rooted for didn't make it. But I can't imagine ILLIT would suit any other members, the girls are perfect for the group. I love Wonhee also but I love Yunah too. I saw her reaction to being picked and I could really tell she wanted to debut more than anything in life, and I always watch their reality shows and daily vlog thingies. I just wanna be in their friend group so bad!

I know Idol School was notoriously rigged, and I've always been sceptic of survival/selection shows since then... but I still enjoy them a lot. I watched the produce series etc. Would you recommend R U NEXT?

I would recommend watching the performances. There are some great trainees that didn’t make it into ILLIT but had opportunities to debut elsewhere (ie. Himena, Chanelle, Yewon, etc)

That sounds great. Always love having someone to root for. It's also really nice when you see one of your faves from another show reappear on a different one. I was so maternal for Lee Si An from Idol School - Produce 48 - (I think she went on to be on that one dating show??? Idk.) But something about that parasocial cheering on someone I like makes me very very happy. Idc if it is sad, we are all sad xd

Also I think I gravitate towards Nugu girl groups and rookies because I want them to succeed loll

I totally understand that as I have watched far too many survival shows. I think the one I got the most into was Iland2 (the show that formed izna). There was a trainee by the name of LingLing who I rooted for but eventually got eliminated (I also rooted for Mai who made it into the final lineup). Well LingLing eventually debuted in a group called Kiiras and I was genuinely over the moon to see a company recognize her talents
