Paris? it is just as it looks in the pictures, but smelly because they seem to lack in public toilets :D. I liked it there, the architecture is really GORGEOUS, but it is a bit .... touristy? Like it was hard to imagine living there as a resident which wasn´t a problem in Amsterdam, you just immediately feel like fitting in because it is smaller I guess? and it has a bit of a melancholy feeling to the city. maybe it was also that I was there in Feb while in Paris I enjoyed a really nice September. but I have never been to the States. :(
