Off-topic but I thought I should tell someone for whatever reason I was watching a YouTube short where the creator was sharing how old the New Jeans members were when the creator was born. And the creator is 18 and none of them were born when the creator was born...
And there was someone that was 13 that commented and there were so many people in their replies being like "Same" or "I'm younger!" and I'm like "OMG YALL ARE SO YOUNG" but I didn't say that...
There are literal babies in the comment section and it's sooo cute!!

I've thinking about like... ig part of what keeps me from groups like nj is how young they are. I enjoy their concept and music, but you know, I can sense that it's not really for me, yk?
meanwhile, teens probably see the girls and look up to them and think they are the coolest. so it's cool to have that kind of experience, ig yk? I'm happy groups like nj can resonate with them.

Well, from a teenager who's on the verge of becoming an adult, I'm one of those teenagers who still like "omg, idols my age debuting?" and I'll check them out very quickly. And for some reason, I do resonate with them the most...it's weird but at the same time, being around my age, there's something special about it. I mean, they're more successful than me (Hyein, maknae of NJ is literally 14 but in an exponentially rising girl group while at that age, the most I was doing was playing Minecraft all day) but they're so easy to follow because they're relatable 💅
And for some reason, their content feels really different than watching content from adults at my age. Like I really do enjoy Twice's content and watch it all the time but there's something about groups with younger members like New Jeans, IVE, Itzy, etc. that I resonate more with lol...it's like I'm watching students at my school, even though I'll probably never know them irl, if that makes sense.

My top two groups couldn't be any more different. SHINee is tad bit older than me while P1harmony is a bit closer to my age, but they are still a bit younger.
I think I tend to relate to P1harmony in sense of like style and humor more since they are my age, but I do connect with SHINee a lot too. I think their wealth of experience and vast uniqueness from each of the members will always make them interesting to me, even if I can't 100% relate to them.

Aww, that's cool! I think we both stan groups where 1+ of the majority of the members are younger or the same age as us and 1+ where the members are slightly or a lot older than us. It's a pretty different experience but I love both sides all the way...
