Fighting my demons rn

Today I got chased by a man in a stairwell granted that was like 4 hours after I made this post but right now he's my #1 target

It was my first day going to my in-person class for this semester. The man followed me out of the class at the end, to the stairwell, and down 2 flights of stairs. I don't think he meant me harm but it was the facts of what happened, you know? I knew he was following me and I was like 10 ft in front of him, which is why as soon as I entered the stairwell I began running. But why, when he entered, did he start running too? It doesn't make sense and he needs more tact because why would you follow a woman from 10 ft behind and then start RUNNING down the flight of stairs that has no windows/no cameras unless you had bad intentions? He needs social awareness. That was not good for my heart.

There is a call button outside of the building so that was my target. The thingy calls the campus police to your location so if there was any serious malicious intent I planned on using that
