ohhhh I think you are mistaken about the badges!

You get the badges based on your postcount (the normal ones), you can just request one for #100 #300 #500 posts and every 200 posts more. So you could request 6 now!

The points are separate!

getting posts here is a lot easier than points, so you don't have to woory too much

You can only display 6 badges at a time anywys, so maybe you can decide on your favorite ones for the start to fill out your slots and then go from there?

For the post count, do I just reference the "messages" # or is there something else I should be looking at to see how many posts I have to play with?

no I really just post the # count for which you are requesting

I always struggle to find my last post to remember for which value I requested last and where I have to continue
