that's cool! personally, i've never been able to fully commit to stanning groups of one particular gender, though i think i lean more towards girl groups and female idols in general. but then again, these days i've been in the process of stanning a boy group, soo... it depends on my mood, haha. that said, two of my topmost groups of all time are shinee and svt - both bgs.
additionally, i think as a casual, i tend to follow girl groups more? like, there's a whole bunch of ggs whose music i regularly listen to, and whose members i casually like. but i can't think of any boy group like that, the closest would probably be txt and i haven't listened to their stuff in ages 💀
overall, ggs >>>, but i'm extremely weak for a handful of bgs
I do not stan many groups in general, for the most part it was only Twice, usually I do not manage to keep up with everything other groups do. Now I started doing the same for IVE, but I had its kinda lucky as Twice stopped putting it out content for the most part after their CB, but if they both would do a lot, I don't know what to do
I heared that argument about people finding it easier to casually to stan GG a few times, its quite interesting, as I also follow many of them casually
my definition of "stan" is very loose - it usually means to like most, if not all, of the music; to know all the members by name, know a bit of their onscreen persona, and to really like them all; and to tune in to new releases. that way my list gets very long! plus, i don't always 100% keep up with all groups at all times: usually some poor group ends up at the bottom of my list while i hyperfocus on another 😭. like right now, svt is in their comeback era, so i'm paying a lot of attention to them!
and about finding it easier to casually stan ggs - idk why that is they just have the bops, and i don't have the time or energy to fully stan, i guess
