two thumbs up - not bad
three thumbs up - I like it
four thumbs up - I really like it (this is where I consider a song playlist worth)
five thumbs up - I adore it

not many songs end up four or five thumbs up

also I'm not generally fond of entire albums but rather songs from albums - I really liked Easy and Smart from LSFM
I really really liked crown on my head from yeji (itzy)
also looking back - there was only one pass in Gidle's album (doll??? lol)

That's fair! If I like the title or it's an artist I like in particular, I usually try to give the whole album a listen, just because the order and flow can sometimes elevate a song.

Doll was very forgettable lol. I wish I liked 2 more as an album, but it's the most indifferent I've been to one of (G) I-DLE's releases in a while. Like the songs are generally fine, but not at their peak best.

I agree the latest Gidle songs were middling (is that a word) at best there really wasn't a song that stood out or realaly blew me out of the water

Agreed! Wife is still delightful and I don't mind Super Lady, it just sounds a bit too much like it was made for TikTok sound bites or something.

I'm glad to see Fate rise, just because I remember seeing them say they personally invested a lot of their own money into the comeback when Cube wouldn't. It's good to see it pay off a bit.

speaking of which have you seen the episode of Gidle on Knowing Brothers??? that's where Soyeon talked about the money issue but the entire episode is probably the best episode of KB I've seen ever!!!

I haven't! I'll see if I can find it and watch it tomorrow. Tomorrow's a work from home day, so easier to watch videos on between meetings lol.
