My birth name is 邹语乐 which i dont really like

why it seems a very nice name
what don't you like about it

cuz in English its yule and people pronounce it as yule instead of yu-le

that's just english speaking people not knowing how to pronounce sounds

I had similar issues with my own chinese name but after a couple of times and correcting them they get used to it

the other option like you did is to separate the names out with a hyphen

Now I just tell them to call me Rachel

that's cool too
which is one of the reasons I gave my sons a standard english sounding legal name as oppose to a chinese one
it'll be much simpler for them growing up even though at home we still use their chinese names

At home I use my Chinese name and other families generally do too

so how did you get into kpop in the first place (I don't remember whether I asked you this)

so my brother used to be a huge midzy and a blink
he would always play kpop in the car and stuff I think just liked it but I only REALLY got into it last winter

interesting so from your brother huh? what was the defining moment that made you go - hey I want to get into kpop?

hmm I think the moment I realized I wanted to get into kpop was when I got to a period of time where I couldn't find music I actually liked listening to, so one day I clicked into a blackpink article and I decided to ask Alexa to play Blackpink (because I didn't use spotify) and I really liked every song that was playing unlike a lot of western songs
and yeah here I am now

some stuff - like the catchy stuff I guess - songs like APT from Rosé, Gangnam style from Psy
both my kids like those songs
my oldest likes imaginary friend from Itzy
I show them songs every now and then
