Taking your time out of the day to go through kpopsource and NOT insta lmao!
I commented on thebiaslist that as a song spaghetti is fun but not fun enough and should do more to be silly. But I do think we're losing the plot a bit when considering trends and all that, is future K-pop going to buried in 50 layers of irony? Are the next big hits going to be memes instead of songs? What the fuck happened to producers trying to make a good song and not just an enjoyable one? Is this how it's going to be for the next few years?
Spaghetti puts gnarly for me in a more understandable context but not a better one. I now understand why gnarly was released and at least they went all out with it. But I'm not gonna forgive that song if the next fresh hits are going to be 'teehee I'm so brainrotted look at me being so cunty I'm so chronically online' two minute unfinished demos that fans are gonna have to do mental gymanstics to enjoy.
This is defs an extreme scenario and I doubt that every group is going to release a joke song but what's the point of releasing a joke song when you can release a good one? Fucking Crayon Pop did all this shit better back in the day, just reinvent that wheel!
The mv was alright, I do think I saw a bit of AI used. I don't have much to say about the drag cause it's like, it's hybe and any progressive stance they gets watered down because it's a big company who's using it for profit.
Anyways rant over.
That SWF is VERY powerful. That was simple yet meticulous and stunning all at the same time. Very well done. Very tasteful. The vanner mv was tasteful as well, i've never seen that vid at all. I wonder if I watched it when it came out if I'd recognise the low budget lol.

kyam too i know - from swf. one of the missions in season 1 was "man of street woman fighter", where the crews to call male dancers in to perform with them. the crew prowdmon decided to call kyam, and have her be the "woman", while they crossdressed to be the "men" and did this beautiful spoken word (which flew over the judges' heads :/)
