Yes, I love dreamcatcher, Gfriend, (G)I-dle, CLC, Oh My Girl, Loona, Everglow, TWICE, Red Velvet, Blackpink, and other groups.
I haven't really been a big fan of BG's but since I have been doing the BG/GG Team Tournament, I can appreciate and like BG's a lot more than I did.
I also loved what Dreamcatcher did to the BG dances! It makes me appreciate the BG choreography more, although I knew BG is always sharp and pretty good anyway.
I've always preferred BG choreos because of that... They are usually either much more smooth or much more sharp! Sometimes both! GG choreos tend to be I dunno how to say it, almost bouncy or fluttery.
Haha I kinda guess that! lmao
I actually didn't like (G)I-dle before Senorita, but then when I heard Senorita, I loved their other releases as well and have been a fan of (G)I-dle ever since! I loved Everglow's mini-album, hope they can continue with their great content.
Well, I do know what you mean, and I can understand why some people would prefer BG choreography, but I can also understand why people like GG choreography as well.
BG and GG choreography are vastly different and I sometimes would like to see some crossovers, as I know that Girl Groups, given a chance can do Boy Group choreography, but it's because the BG choreography is naturally harder to do, there are BG fans who think that GG's can't do BG choreos when they clearly can but they just have GG choreography which is different to BG dances.
Yes, it is true and of course, no GG choreography is the same, just like no BG choreography is the same.
Yes, you know he could probably make it his own dance. Just because a BG does a GG choreography, wouldn't mean that it would be 'girly'.
Just like when a GG does BG choreography, it doesn't have to be manly because they can have their own style and charm to them, a bit like when Dreamcatcher did the BG choreography of 2019, they had their own style and charm to them which made them look like a Dreamcatcher way of doing BG choreos.
I dunno what is your opinion on the Stray kids cover of Twice's Fancy, but I think that is how things should be done. The choreo should be changed just enough so that the person performing it feels right performing it. That is how I find it is the best.
a GG doing BG choreos shouldn't seem like a BG, they should seem like a GG doing some sharper choreo
a BG doing GG choreos shouldn't seem like a GG, they should seem like a BG doing some softer choreo
I only saw a bit of the Stray Kids cover of Fancy, so I would have to rewatch it fully.
But yes, I do agree that is what should happen. Not changing the choreo too much but not having it the exact same also, but making it your own so that it suits you as you perform it, that is what I love!
Yes, I completely understand that! I think it would be great if more BG could do GG choreos and more GG could do more BG choreos. I think people are afraid that BG will turn into GG and GG will turn into BG but that really isn't the case.
I mean, on the odd occasion, I've seen BG cover GG choreography while wearing dresses and trying to act like GG and vice versa but that's just a bit of fun. But you can still do crossovers seriously and they can make it their own style and charm while doing it.
Yep definitely ^-^
I don't think I have seen of Miss A's Hush choreography.
If I am honest though, I don't really like the fact that they are called BG choreography and GG choreography because it means they are trying to separate both gender choreographies.
Maybe call it hard choreo and soft choreo or something, then the BG's and GG's would have more of a variety of moves without being segmented.
Let each group just have choreos that suit them! Same for concepts and overall group vibes!
I want a BG that gives me really seductive choreos and MVs and songs
and
I want a GG that will sing me songs about how they would beat up the world for their man! (Or well woman, but that would be pushing it a bit far for the point we are at as a society today!)
Yes, I agree! I have noticed that things are slowly changing though, especially with Girl Groups, like there have been more and more choreography that isn't your typical cutesy or even your typical Girl Crush now, they still have that type of genre but they are doing it a bit differently.
I think BG choreographies haven't changed as much as GG choreos because there really isn't a need to and it's still pretty popular, but GG needed to change because they couldn't evolve and although they are still behind BG's in popularity, they have grown immensely in popularity from the last few years because they are offering something a bit different to how they used to.
Do you know what I mean?
