I would guess with the big groups that suck at singing live... the problem is that they aren't used to it, because they don't do it often. With that even the good singers would not be used to singing live.

I think over here you are generilizing a bit too much, bcs there ARE big groups that CAN sing live, they are just a bit rarer. There are also smaller groups that struggle live.
