People of KpopSource, rejoice! For it is the most joyous of occasions, our beloved super graphics purple mod @bulletproof's birthday!! :sj_weary:
Obviously since you're graphics head Dii, this thread can only begin with the most amazing of banners- unfortunately I suck and came up with this...
It's so overused it doesn't really mean anything rn tbh. Just a deprecating term.
It's just for me that if the members and agency are promoting themselves well like they're supposed to, that's organic enough for me. But that doesn't make it better than "inorganic" success.
BTS is pretty organic by Kpop standards. I mean you're not gonna see indie artists get those international stans and YouTube views coz everyone is signed to an agency. If the agency does it's job well, I don't see what's inorganic about it.
I mean the industry itself is structured in a way that only lets their products thrive so yeah. Still, there are different companies with different degrees of influence, some BTS stans do overplay how "nugu" BigHit was , but for me you can still be organic if you go from a not so big agency to...
It doesn't make any group better or worse, stans just use it to put others down and feel better about their choices. Or to downplay other's achievements when they have no argument lol.
I mean going from low-mid tier to the top is still success, you have to start somewhere. Often times some groups sell well right from debut due to the right strategies by the company.
It's just that nugus lack any resources to mount any meaningful competition. You're not gonna see NeonPunch...
I know, I wasn't being serious lol.
Organic success often times is no success tbh :umjicry:
I mean you could make a case for BTS, but it's rare for nugus to become organically successful. Maybe if Momoland were able to sustain their hype and actually build a fandom :susPepe:
