For video games, I only play Switch games. Partially because Nintendo owns my favorite IPs and partially because there is only so much time in my life, and there's not enough to justify the other consoles too.

For polishes, I am all in on Mooncat. Partially because they sincerely have a superior polish/package to other brands I've tried (e.g. the brush makes it easy to have consistent application) and partially for the same reason as Nintendo. The average bottle of polish (any brand) will give you 25 manicures. So if you change your polish every three days (hands AND feet) it will take about a month to get through ONE bottle of polish. And most people (me included) don't change their polishes that frequently, and I don't want to get into collecting polishes just for the sake of it.

Not so much brand loyalty but I'm a creature of habit and will stick to things I'm familiar with unless give a reason not to. I enjoy trying different things too but I guess it depends on what it is.

Since you mentioned gaming I'm primarily a PC gamer because that's what I grew up with and it's the most versatile, I had a Playstation 1-4 as well where I'd play some exclusives (Final Fantasy, GTA, Mortal Kombat and Quantic Dreams games to name a few) but since most things get ported nowadays and the price of games is so much higher on Playstation than PC I never got around to buying a PS5 and now there's the whole "no physical discs" controversy so I never will. There was never a reason for me to look at other consoles since all I knew was either on PC or Playstation and I don't like playing on the go (so no handheld consoles).

On the other hand smaller things like food I enjoy trying different brands to see which is better and then settle on one after actually trying most of them.

Going back to PC gaming I do insist on running an Nvidia GPU and I aim to get brands I'm familiar with for other parts as well because these things are just to expensive to experiment with, once I commit to something like a new GPU I'm not going to change it for several years even if it's shit.

100% understand!! And especially with how expensive food is these days, like some stuff is relatively interchangeable, but some stuff is like... "cool, that's $15 into the trash." And that's really not worth it, even as a kind of yolo spender.

Yeah, sometimes it's worth spending a little extra but at other times it's all the same and there's no reason you shouldn't save your money. You won't know until you try it.

only product im loyal to is clip studio paint, the only program that does what i want and other art programs just dont work for me. ive tried so many. none come close to clip.
