I fully agree with this. It made me very uncomfortable as well and no one would expect such topics to be so easily accessible to minors on a forum relating to kpop. If speaking to minors about such topics is illegal (or should be) irl there is no reason it should be allowed on KS.while you are right, as a parent, you can at least block "porn websites". I don´t think many people would expect such topics to be publicly discussed on a forum about Korean music.
I feel like a 14 year old kid sending "anons" about oral sex to an adult is weird and I really don´t see why this should be a part of a forum? Is it really that important? If you agree with this, it is not my call to decide as I will not be held accountable, but I would not be able to sleep at night if I did not share my stance on this. I feel like young people should have some space where they can talk about their interests and we, as adults, could all chip in. After all, this has nothing to do with music at all and if people want, they can always discuss such sensitive matters privately.
Thank you for taking that in consideration.
Minors will always find a workaround, but the least KS can do is at least try to shield minors. It does definitely take a lot of work to manually verify everyone, but users that have clearly stated that they are minors should not be able to access such threads. Maybe KS can have a Google Form verification system where people can apply for access to 18+ threads and if the mods see that they are minors, they are denied access. Minors will still work their way around but at least this solution is taking slight precautions. One way would be to create a separate subforum that is protected and we would have to manually verify each user through some form of identification. The other option would be to ban 18+ topics completely. Like you said, minors will always find a workaround and join if they really want to.
Another thing could be to give WP's to minors that reply to or quote messages in 18+ threads. It's quite honestly disturbing. Minors may also post things on the internet that they will regret in the future, and while KS is not in any way responsible for this, I believe trying to regulate this would improve KS significantly.
