Sometimes it just hits me
Because like normally my dedication and knowledge of kpop doesn't stand out bcs I am talk about kpop with ppl who are similarly... obsessed
So having a wide array of knowledge related to kpop doesn't stand out

But every now and again I talk to a new fan or a non-fan and it just hits me
I know.... wayyy too much about kpop

like... knowing every member of a group I don't stan
Knowing how a group I don't stan came to be + how well their comeback is doing + how that compares to their last comeback

Like... it also hits me when I realize that the first thing I wanna know when a new group debuts, is their company. Or well normally I find out about a new group as company X's new group lmao
And it hits me even more when I realize it makes SENSE for me to wanna know the company, bcs that tells you so much about a group! What they'll most likely be good at, what they'll be bad at. What to expect from a release etc...

I've been getting a friend into kpop recently and I have had to literally hold back to not just bury them in information about the trainee system and how it differs from company to company and how and why these 2 idols are friends bcs they trained together at company y before they both left and why they left etc etc

I really could go on forever about kpop I feel like.... Maybe I should write a lecture about kpop... or two... or ten, fuck it, I should make a whole class about kpop

Anyways this was Maru making a thread for the first time in months I think at 8am after not having slept the whole night

Explaining to my doctor the concept of NCT and making sure she knew that Taeil and Kun are the best boys while getting a check-up really made me take a step back like "wtf are you doing"
