Do you think that heterosexual people can comment on what's valid or not in the LGBTQ+ community? :dubuthink: Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

no because they arent lgbt......
Exactly. They have no say on what is valid or not. It's all about what's comfortable for the lgbtq+ person.

But if they call themselves stargender i will hit them

Its a bit :wimwim:
They don't understand it so saying whether it's valid is stupid.
Then again I don't condone gatekeeping within the community either

wtf is gatekeeping
It's when people say things like "you aren't a true fan if x" or "you aren't allowed to use x if you're not y". Basically deciding who is and isn't able to belong to a certain group. Within the LGBT community sometimes people gatekeep by saying that bi people aren't lgbt if they are in a heterosexual relationship which is ridiculous obviously.

i mean...it doesn't affect them fully considering they aren't lgbtq+ :wimwim: i don't think they have the right to comment on what is or isn't valid tbh

Nope. And I don't think other lgbtq+ ppl automatically have the right to say whether or not someone else's experience is or isn't valid either.

Yeah, I hate when that happens, toxicity at its finest.

internet discourse can get dumb so if a het person comes in says that discourse xyz is stupid, or is crossing some lines, I’d be cool w that
Dépends entirely on the context
