Background: Funimation had earlier controversy with their VA, now ex-VA Vic Mignogna (Edward from FMA, Tamaki from Ouran etc.) after he got accused of sexual harasshment of fans, some underage. Two female VA's, Monica and Jamie also tweeted in support saying Vic had harasshed them as well and made inappropriate comments during recording sessions. Funimation started investigation, terminated Vic's contract and he was pretty much ousted from industry with other partners severing their ties with him as well. Vic has denied all allegations and is currently in lawsuit against Funimation for defamation. So far the there is one confirmed case over "Jelly bean joke" where Vic had said on video that jelly bean he was eating is Monica (one of plp) accusing him. Lot of fans have supported Vic and are sure of his innocence and have raised lot of money to support his lawsuit.
However that's not topic of this day. Few days ago Funimation got further trouble with some of their Dragon Ball dubs VA's when leak of joke recordings the VA's had done happened. Lot of these joke recordings were NSFW, some pretty offensive including acting pornographic scenes etc. with- some of these scenes including some homophobic, sexist, incestious etc. jokes.
These recordings were made during VA's warm ups as a joke and shouldn't been released to public, but now they are pretty much all over twitter, youtube etc. VA's involved include at leastChris Sabat (Vegeta, Piccolo from DBZ- also tons of other anime dubs, video games etc., won VA of the year last years Crunchyroll anime awards), Sean Schemmel (Goku from DBZ) and Monica Rial (Bulma from DBZ). Some of these VA's were speaking against Vic Mignogna for making inappropriate jokes during recordings which is one reason why plp are so outraged about this. Alone it might not been as big of deal, since although some plp find the jokes offensive not everyone thinks them that bad. Regardless the recordings are also against Funimations work guidelines, which was one reason why Vic was booted so there might be some housecleaning in Funimation.
In other hand it seems like Toei Animation and some japanese VA's have expressed unhappiness towards the situation, so there is definitely pressure coming that side as well for Funimation to do sth about this. In worst case Funimation might lose some licenses it has for these animes including Dragon Ball license which is probably one of largest one they have.
