Loona's latest album [12:00] has crossed 100K sales on Gaon, this should reflect in the next update in January :sanapray:

The girls and Orbits have worked hard over the years to make this happen and I can only see them growing even more from here.

This comes just a few days after Dreamcatcher broke into the 100K club as well. Till date, only these handful of girl groups have crossed 100K with one album:

And now, Loona :sj_weary:

Congrats @Orbit

I remember back in the day when only the most popular groups ever sold 100k. Now everybody does it.
Yeah it's become a lot more achievable now with how physicals have grown. Until just a year or 18 months ago, it was still pretty difficult for a girl group but esp in 2020 it's suddenly grown so fast.
Now the most popular groups sell 300K lol.

Loona has really nice residual sales look how often catalogue albums are charting .

Yeah I knew Twice and BP have old albums selling all the time but starting this year I've seen Loona do pretty well in that regard too. I think BBC finally reprinted old albums and you had the solo singles and subunit releases selling back during So What time. That's why when you see Loona overall sales it's actually pretty good even tho initial Hanteo numbers aren't always that high.
It's good to see since so much of Kpop sales is so front loaded these days.

This was at the end of Nov 2020, selling 265K in a year is pretty impressive, they've sold more than Mamamoo and GFriend this year, owing to their residual sales lol- and all 3 subunits also show up separately here.

Their latest album has actually sold less than their previous 2, I don't understand why. They've reached 90K so many times when not many groups could, and now when everyone is crossing into 100K, their latest sales decreased.

Yep when i looked at the chart and posted it the other day i was struck by how many dreamcatcher and loona albums were charting.

I knew Twice, BP, had crazy residual numbers
RV, IZONE also have residuals higher than some groups releases.
MMM also surprised me a bit.

I was frankly stunned that ZERO gfriend catalogue sales were there. especially with the list going down to like 500 for the year.

Big hit did not help them one bit.

They really could be on the block..

Yeah I thought being under BigHit would give them sales boost at least, if not better charting songs. Could it be that the concept change from Apple onwards turned some people off? Not sure, I'm thinking something similar to what happened with Twice might have happened which is why both groups' latest comebacks underperformed even though Mago and ICSM were generally regarded as 2 of their stronger title tracks in recent times.
