There's really not an excuse to buy an album without watching an unboxing on YT... Some albums are good, really good, but have sh*t packaging. Everyone knows Infinite is my #1, but... the outer shell to Paradise [the repackage of Over the Top] is just a piece of cardboard. Opening it up and taking the photobook and disc out is always annoying.

Having said that... I do have some k-pop albums that are just jewel cases with a small ~10 page insert.

When someone gets the majority of a company it also means they get majority of the say it's just how investments work and Hybe shows that it runs the show like Sakura and Chaewon are debuting under Soumu but took a picture with Bang PD and not So Sungjin the actual founder of Soumu which would've made more sense in that case.

As for the album unless you're a Hybe stan it's very visibly low effort and deserves criticism for being so with there being a track record of Nu'est and Gfriends album quality going down after the merges which only leaves one common factor between them.

You are free to believe this "independent" facade and stay loyal to Hybe as you wish but don't try to argue with people who aren't blinded by company loyalty as you'll only look worse off for doing so like you do now.

Nuest albums were so well known for having the same (great) packaging too, with the numbers on the spine so newer fans would know the order. I don’t collect Nuest, but I saw others have them on their shelves and they looked really pretty.

Curious about what? The first part of his response was made to be snarky pointing out Gfriend only because I stan them and trying to take heat off Hybe insinuating it should be given to Pledis instead.

As for the album you can say you like the pictures it has while admitting it could be designed better as the amount of blank space in the album is something that would disappoint regardless let alone comparisons to previous albums.

I'm sure your response is related to you being friends however I think it should be obvious me and shanks aren't going to get along and whether you wish to create a problem between me and you because of that is your decision however I treat personal disagreements as just that personal and something that if there is to be a solution would need to be discussed in private.

The thread itself is about them avoiding putting more pictures which you can't argue that having more photos would be a bad thing when the space for it is clearly there and if you like the photos in the album why wouldn't you want more?
