% of what exactly?
Because no matter what folks have said for years the vast majority resign or leave for other reasons (like the snsd 3)

SM is not reporting huge profits i f i remember correctly.
While the sale are huge the flow thru seems tiny.

I think it being called a "slave contract" had very little to do with the financial aspect of it and more to do with the fact that the contract was 10 years long and came with many restrictions that basically took away any liberty the artist had.

7+ 3 per country they promoted in. I assume it was China and Japan for the extra 6.
But that was the ministry approved contract as were the penalties and restrictions (which when i read them were not much different from sports contracts). JYJ just got a great judge. They were in breach and had to get the contract voided to save them selves.

on the up side that changed teh ministry contract and thus the agencies, but jyj paid by the industry killing music shows for them.
SM takes the blame but they have been in full on war with cable channels and never did a jyj song air. Even a tiff with KBS ( not as crazy as yg's but )

If this is real it seems pretty good to me!

Albums and internet business seem to me like the things that earn the least anyway... And idols do qutie a lot of CFs and concerts etc... I think this is pretty good if this is real.

Can't read Korean, I'm curious is this the contract before or after the law was changed?
Anyone have any idea what the contracts for SJ, H.O.T. Or S.E.S. were like in comparison?
We'll probably never know.
