What genres do you enjoy reading and what are some of your favourites? Even if you don't like reading, there are probably a few books that you've enjoyed.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the Dark Materials Triology by Phillip Pullman and I'm a huge fantasy fan. The Percy Jackson series and anything by Rick Riordan in general is something I love, more for nostalgia reasons. His books were my childhood. <3
Some other notable books were The Book Thief and a Picture of Dorian Grey. Oscar Wilde really has a way with words.

What about you?

"The Chronicles of Narnia," "Coraline," "The Inheritance Cycle," "Harry Potter," etc. And Roadside Picnic by The Strugatsky Brothers, Arkady and Boris. It's about the aftermath of an alien invasion, in which aliens entered certain key parts of earth, then left. They left behind strange artifacts and such, and these stalkers go into the Zones, as they're called, to bring back the artifacts... And they encounter other creepy goings-on in those ghost-towns. The novel inspired Andrei Tarkovsky's sci-fi classic "Stalker," as well as the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. video game series.
I came here to tag you but you're fast :haylul:

Anyway I used to read everything, esp crime thrillers but over time I've discovered I prefer fantasy and sci-fi over other genres. And within sci-fi, if it's cyberpunk then I'm sold already.

Some of my favs are Snow Crash, Altered Carbon, Red Rising, Six of Crows, anything by Isaac Asimov, Brandon Sanderson etc.

I currently read the To All The Boy's series and loving it way more than the movies on netflix. Lara Jean is just so adorable and relateable.

Books I tend to read are still YA and fantasy ones with a mix of contemporary.

I've been trying to get my hands on To kill a Mocking Bird for ages. I'm very rarely allowed to buy books and it's a popular book in libraries as well so my attempts have been pretty futile but I'm really looking forward to the day I can read it~

I mostly read sci-fi and fantasy, some of my most recent favorites are The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert and Foundation by Isaac Asimov. I also finished the Mortal Instruments trilogy and liked that a lot.

i like thrillers, there must be some suspense/murder/secrets to be unraveled to make me read a book, and also discovered that i like sports (books, tv shows and anime) plus short stories of whatever genre

I like to read thrillers/mysteries, but some of my current favorites reads have been neither of those. The Song of Achilles by Madeline MIller and Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens are books I enjoy a lot. Oh, and Hate List by Jennifer Brown I read recently, and that was probably one of the most emotion-bringing books I've read in a long time, but very good.
