What if SM sent a trainee on a produce show? (1 Viewer)

We all know this would never happen! but why not imagine this for a moment?

I think the moment they walk onto the screen the expectations would be HUGE. I imagine SM would never let anybody go and represent their company in a show like that if they were not A class. The trainers and the other trainees would know the standards SM sets for their trainees are high and would be expecting talent of the biggest magnitude.

I think if SM ever did send somebody, that trainee would be hands down the biggest ace SM has ever had. A Main vocal and a main dancer combo probably. I can't see them sending in anybody weaker than that honestly. (not that I can ever see them sending anybody.)

Don't forget that if you don't improve by the next evaluation in SM, you're out.
There's a reason why they have so many trainees, and why so many "left" the company: 95% of them were kicked out

Stray Kids Woojin for example, he use to be SM and was kicked out!

He was kicked out because his dancing wasn't good enough and (I assume) his vocals weren't good enough to make up for his dancing.

Well there was big reaction (or maybe it was bit faked since it's mnet's variety show but anyways) when they trolled with YG, so I'm sure reaction from other trainees would be huge and lot of people would look up to them. I don't think it would be bad for SM either, I think their trainee would do quite well in the midst (they wouldn't sent trainee who wouldn't do good).

They partially sent SM trainees. ESteem is a modeling agency owned by SM Entertainment so this is the closest you can get, I don't think many people know that they're related though because most of their models just appear in M/V's like Park Yuri in Luna's Free Somebody and that one model in NCT Dream's Chewing Gum. Just like YGK+ in the second season.

It doesn't mean they're guaranteed to do well though even if it's SM trainee. JYP sent trainee this year and his dancing is quite weak. He's definitely not an all-arounder. I don't see JYP debuting a new boy group anytime soon so I guess he's just stuck in a dungeon and wants to get himself out there.

Yeah, but there is a difference between SM and JYP.

SM would never send a trainee to a show where they are evaluating their skill and have them be anything less than perfect. I feel like it would be a matter of pride for them.

Well, there you go, you answered your own question. I don't think SM ever would because they can't guarantee them a good ranking. And they might see it as something that ruins their reputation but personally, I don't think it's as big deal because I don't think that JYP trainee or these YG trainees during this season add much more to the show than the other trainees. o;

Amber has stage presence and an overwhelming friendly aura!She could talk herself out of a hostage situation by becoming friends with the ones taking her hostage!

She is an SM idol, of course she can sing and dance! An SM idol who is bad at dancing is always a main vocal or rapper sooooo... Either you have an SM main vocal which means best vocalist on the show or you have a strong all rounder!
